Day 1: Transfer to Jinja.
After a relaxed breakfast you will be picked by our guide to transfer you to Jinja city. Welcome to Jinja City, the place where the mighty River Nile begins its 6,600 km journey to the Mediterranean Sea!
During the colonial period, Jinja became Uganda’s industrial hub, thanks to the railway, booming factories, and the famous Owen Falls Dam, which supplied power to much of the country. A thriving Asian community shaped its business and culture—traces of which can still be seen in its buildings and shops. Though its industries declined in the 1970s, Jinja found a new identity as Uganda’s adventure capital. Today, tourists come from all over the world to enjoy white-water rafting, bungee jumping, boat cruises, and stunning sunsets on the Nile.
We may decide to do city tour as an optional activity in the afternoon or relax at the lodge.
Day 2: White water rafting.
